Beim European Poker Festival im größten Pokerroom Europas, dem King’s Resort in Rozvadov, kamen zum Main Event 1.273 Entries von 952 Spielern zusammen. Durch das €455+45 Buy-In gab es einen €550.254-Preispool, den Sieg errang der Zypriot Georgios Tsouloftas für phänomenale €102.628 (inkl. WSOPE ME Ticket).
135 Spieler kamens ins Geld, der Mincash lag bei €982. Am Final Table hatten die Spieler dann €6.869 übrig. In langen 60 Minuten Levels ging es über den ganzen Tag, 35 Spieler kamen in den Finaltag und nach knapp 16 Stunden konnte ein Sieger gefunden werden.
Im Heads-Up gab es ein zypresisch französisches Duell, bei dem sich der Franzose Clement Cure Georgios Tsouloftas gegenüber saß. Das Heads-Up zog sich über mehrere Stunden, mit 58 und 47 Big Blinds startete Tsouloftas nur mit einem kleinen Vorsprung. Den Chiplead gab Tsouloftas nie wirklich richtig ab.
Am Ende gingen die Chips von Cure auf einem 
Board mit 
auf dem Flop in die Mitte, Tsouloftas überlegte mit 
länger – wahrscheinlich aus Angst vor dem Overpair. Am Ende bezahlte Tsouloftas, das Board blankte und er gewann damit das Turnier. Für €102.628 (inkl. WSOPE ME Ticket) gewann Tsouloftas das Main Event des European Poker Festival. Clement Cure durfte sich als Runner-Up über €66.531 (inkl. WSOP ME Ticket) freuen.
