Beim PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Cyprus Festival im Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Casino auf Nordzypern wurde am Donnerstag der Tag 2 des $3.000 EPT Mystery Bounty NLH Events #36 gespielt. Außerdem gab es weitere Entscheidungen wie zum Beispiel das fünfte $25.000 NLH High Roller Event.
Am Tag 2 des $3.000 EPT NLH Mystery Bounty Event #36 war zum Start noch die Late-Registration und der Re-Entry möglich. Zu den 840 Entries am Tag 1 kamen noch 141 Late-Regs hinzu, sodass man insgesamt 981 Entries verbuchen durfte. Damit ging es um ein Preisgeld von $1.683.396 + $981.000 Mystery Bounties. Als Top-Bounty gab es zweimal $75.000.
Damit starteten 345 Spieler in Tag 2 und kämpften um die 143 bezahlten Plätze und den Min-Cash von $3.050 + Bounties. Auf dem Weg zur Bubble mussten und leider unter anderen Hossein Ensan (GER) und Armin Rezaei (AUT) verlassen. Beide konnten sich aber eine Bounty von $1.000 sichern. Am Tag 2 kamen schon 15 deutschsprachige Spieler in die Geldränge. Als bester beendete hier der Deutsche Samuel Ju das Turnier auf Platz 21 für $9.250 + $4.000 Bounties. Richtig viel Glück hatte der Deutsch-Grieche Georgios Vrakas. Er belegte zwar nur Platz 32 für $6.100 konnte aber unter anderen eine von den beiden Top-Bounties im Wert von $75.000 ziehen. Damit gab es für ihn insgesamt $84.100.
Am Ende vom Tag 2 durften noch 18 Bounty-Jäger ihre Chips für das Finale eintüten. Alle haben nun schon $10.650 + Mystery Bounties sicher. Als Chipleader geht der Russe Dmitrii Nazarov mit 2.895.000 (48 Big Blinds) in das Finale. Mit Manuel Fischer hat es auch ein Deutscher in den letzten Tag geschafft. Er startet von Rang 12 mit 1.415.000 (23,5 Big Blinds).
Das Finale beginnt am Freitag um 11:00 Uhr (MEZ) im Level 28 bei Blinds 30.000/60.000 (Big Blind Ante. Dann dauern die Levelzeiten 40 Minuten. Der Average liegt bei 1.635.000 (27 Big Blinds).

Daniel Smiljkovic und Leon Sturm auf dem Treppchen beim fünften $25.000 High Roller Event!
Das mittlerweile fünfte $25.000 High Roller Event der EPT Cyprus durfte am Donnerstag 21 Spieler an den Tischen begrüßen und damit ging es um ein Preisgeld von $504.210. Das Geld wurde auf vier Plätze verteilt. Der Min-Cash brachte $60.500 und auf den Champion warteten $216.810.
Die D.A.CH-High-Roller waren durch die beiden Deutschen Daniel Smiljkovic und Leon Sturm vertreten. Für Leon ging es schließlich bis auf Platz 3 für $90.800. Daniel musste sich erst im Heads-Up dem Letten Alekejs Ponakovs geschlagen geben und durfte sich als Runner-Up über $136.100 freuen. Aleksejs holte sich das PokerStars Spade und $216.810.
