Zum ersten Mal in ihrer Geschichte wird bei der PokerStars European Poker Tour Monte-Carlo (EPT Monte-Carlo) im Sporting Monte-Carlo ein €250.000 Super High Roller ausgetragen.
Immerhin 38 Entrys wurden am Starttag von 31 Spielern verbucht, womit €9.310.000 an Preisgeldern zusammenkamen.
Allein dem Sieger winken fette €3,212 Millionen und selbst der Mincash fällt mit €651.700 astronomisch aus.
Im mit Stars gespickten Feld tummelten sich mit Christopher Nguyen, Bernhard Binder, Leon Sturm, Matthias Eibinger, Klemens Roiter und Samuel Mullur auch sechs DACH-Cracks – und das mit unterschiedlichem Erfolg.
Während Binder und Sturm als Short Stacks gerade so Tag 2 erreichten und Eibinger, Roiter sowie Mullur ausschieden, stürmte Heads-Up-Spezialist Nguyen an die Spitze.
Der Deutsche führt vor Artur Martirosian und Alex Kulev, wenn es heute in Tag 2 geht.
