Alex Dreyfus und sein Team von Global Poker Index wird diese Veranstaltung organisieren, und George Danzer wurde in der wichtigsten Kategorie „Breakout Player of the Year“ nominiert. Er hat mit Dominik Panka, Oliver Price und Jack Salter starke Konkurenz, aber gute Chancen den Titel zu holen.
Die beiden Trophäen für den besten Spieler 2014 stehen bereits seit einiger Zeit fest, denn Ole Schemion beendete das Jahr als Nummer 1 im Global Poker Index.
