Das World Series of Poker Event # 33 war ein weiteres Massenevent mit einem Buy-In von $1.500. Am Tag 2 kamen 274 der gestarteten 1.698 Spieler zurück in den Rio Convention Center und kämpften direkt um die Bubble. Nur 19 Spieler mussten das Turnier noch ohne Preisgeld verlassen. Leider erwischte es hier Bernd Gleissner. Alle anderen Deutschsprachigen Teilnehmer schafften es ins Geld. Am Ende des Tages waren nur noch 22 Protagonisten im Rennen um das Bracelet. Den Chiplead holte sich Ryan Leng (USA) mit 1.370.000 (85,5 Big Blinds). Ihm dicht auf den Fersen ist der Deutsche Christopher Frank, der Platz 3 im Ranking mit 1.103.000 (69 Big Blinds) belegt. Die Finalisten haben alle schon ein Preisgeld von $11.858 sicher. Auf dem Champion wartet mit $384.833 ein großer Zahltag. Am Montagabend geht es für die 22 Finalisten im Level 22 bei Blinds 8.000/16.000 Ante 2.000 weiter. Der Average beträgt 578.864 (36 Big Blinds).
