Fünf Tage lang lieferte sich die Poker-Elite bei der WSOP einen erbitterten Kampf um den Poker Players Championship Titel. Gewonnen hat wieder einmal Michael Mizrachi, der das prestigereiche Event bereits zum dritten Mal abräumen konnte. Schon seit Tag 2 hatte sich Mizrachi an der Spitze des Feldes festgesetzt und gab diese Position bis zum Ende nicht mehr her. Im Heads-Up spielte The Grinder gegen seinen Landsmann John Hennigan, der dieses Jahr bei der WSOP schon beim $10k H.O.R.S.E zuschlagen konnte.
Für den Sieg erbeutete Mizrachi ein sportliches Preisgeld von $1.239.126, während sein Finalgegner rund eine halbe Million Dollar weniger bekam. Rechnet man nur die WSOP $50k Poker Players Championship kommt Mizrachi in Summe auf einen Gewinn von $4.630.641. Insgesamt bringt es Michael Mizrachi auf Live-Gewinne von fast $17 Millionen.
